character question
I've got a bit of a vignette brewing about Kate having her baby. I wanted to check first, though:

Would anyone have a conflict if I introduced Peter Grodin as becoming the new clerk in Weir's Mercantile? This would be during the late fall following the Siege.

I say go for it, but you may consider my opinion biased because I just want more Kate fic. ;)

I think that is a great idea!

I have the bare bones of an outline, but no real plan to carry through with it. I don't have the notes on me, but if you're interested I'd love to brainstorm. The only reason I was planning to do it at all was because I was going to have him be a bit player in "Workers for the Cause" (Vala centric, intro to the Ori), so as long as it gets done (and he doesn't die), I am okay with it.

There's nobody else you could possibly use for that part? I know there are still quite a few people who haven't been introduced yet to the wildwest verse other than Peter (like Chuck).

My entire plan (which is very, very tenuous), was to have a Prior assume that Grodin owned the Mercantile because Elizabeth is a woman. I can use John if I have to. You go ahead and do whatever you like. I will probably not get around to it forever anyway.

OK but it won't be a problem if Peter arrives at this point in time then?

Nope, go ahead!
